Sara L. Chase Merrick is a member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe and a descendant of the Shinnecock Nation. She has a background in language, literacy and early childhood education. Her research focuses on youth education for decolonization. She will be teaching Middle Childhood Development and Language Development in the fall.
